Campaign will give people who are on the fence about getting vaccinated info & resources

Maricopa County Launches COVID-19 Vaccine Campaign Campaign will give people who are on the fence about getting vaccinated info & resources Maricopa County is encouraging people to get the facts, then get the shot as part of a new promotional campaign for COVID-19 vaccines. The campaign, supported through federal funds, will include television and radio ads, billboards, and social media promotions in English and Spanish. Viewers may recognize some of the people shown in the campaign: every person featured is a real Maricopa County resident who got vaccinated against COVID-19, and many of the photos are from actual vaccine events organized by Maricopa County.

"It’s our job as leaders to share facts with residents. That’s what this campaign is all about,” said Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Sellers, District 1.

“It features local people from different backgrounds who chose to get vaccinated after learning about the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines. I hope residents will find this campaign relatable and informative and will consider getting the shot so we can all get back to doing what we love with the people we love.”

The goal is to reach people who may be on the fence about getting a COVID-19 vaccine. Maricopa County wants to let people know it’s okay to have questions, and that it’s important to seek out information from trusted sources including family doctors, healthcare providers, and public health professionals. People who are willing to get vaccinated but haven’t yet are encouraged to do so as soon as they can. Every person who gets vaccinated helps our whole community reduce the chances of getting or spreading COVID-19 infection.

“While things are slowly starting to feel like they’re returning to normal, our fight against COVID-19 is not over,” said Marcy Flanagan, executive director for Maricopa County Department of Public Health. “It’s important that people continue to get vaccinated to protect themselves and those around them, and we hope this campaign can help answer any questions people may have.”
Public Health data as of June 1 show more than 1.6 million Maricopa County residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This means under half of our neighbors--43% of all Maricopa County residents and 49% of Maricopa County residents 10 years and older--have received at least 1 dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The “Take Care” campaign aims to increase that number through education.

  • Available in convenient locations and times
  • Provided in a safe, trusted environment
  • Easy to sign up for
  • Culturally relevant with information in many languages
  • Accessible for people with a variety of functional needs
