[ARCHIVED] Weekend Voting Begins in Maricopa County July 25

Voting booths, physical distancing tape

Maricopa County has voting locations open across the county this weekend with safety measures in place:

In-person voters can find their closest open voting location at Locations.Maricopa.Vote.

Arizona’s Primary is an open primary. Voters registered by July 6 are eligible to participate, including Independents (no party affiliation).

In-person voters can expect to see locations large enough to allow for physical distancing. Since the county is moving to a Vote Center election model, voters can choose the time and location that works for them, including some evenings and weekends. We are implementing enhanced safety protocols, including requiring poll workers to wear masks, face shields and gloves, and frequently cleaning high-touch surfaces and sanitizing pens after each use. We will have masks and gloves available for all voters should they not bring their own.

Find a complete list of locations and hours of operation at Locations.Maricopa.Vote or by calling 602-506-1511.

Voters who requested an early ballot by July 24 have three ways to return their ballot:

  • Return early ballot by mail by July 29
  • Drop off early ballot at the Maricopa County Elections Department 24-7 drop box at 510 S. 3rd in Phoenix by August 4 at 7 p.m.
  • Drop off early ballot at any Vote Center by August 4 at 7 p.m.

In order to be valid and counted, state law requires voters to return ballots to elections officials or vote in person prior to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, August 4.

Voters can their track early ballot by texting "Join" to 628-683 or visiting BeBallotReady.Vote to check your ballot status. The text message service will notify voters when their ballot is mailed, received, verified and sent to be counted.

August Primary Election Day is Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
