The purpose of the Laveen Area Drainage Master Plan Update (ADMPU) is to quantify the extent of drainage and flooding problems, sources, and hazards in the study area. The study will also identify and analyze any new flooding problems in specific areas that suffered damage during the major storms of August and September 2014. The study area is within City of Phoenix and unincorporated Maricopa County and is bound by the Salt River to the north, the western boundary of the Hohokam Area Drainage Master Study to the east, South Mountain to the south, and the limits of the Gila River Community to the west
