2022 Redistricting Information
State law requires the Board of Supervisors to redistrict after each decennial census. Due to the Census delay, lawmakers passed SB1107, which extended the deadline to approve district changes to July 1, 2022. Because Supervisor District lines match Special Health Care and Community College Districts, changes made to Supervisor boundaries will be the same for these two special districts.
UPDATE: The Board of Supervisors approved a new map adjusting the boundaries of the county’s five supervisorial districts to account for population and demographic changes over the past decade. The Board’s approval today comes after a three-week public comment period on five draft maps, a public hearing that detailed the methodology behind redistricting, and several rounds of revisions incorporating public feedback. The new map will be effective on Jan. 1, 2024.
