COVID-19 At-Home Tests
What are At-Home Tests?
A COVID-19 at-home test is a rapid self-administered testing option to see if you are currently infected with COVID-19. These results are available between 15 to 30 minutes. These tests are sometimes also called “home tests,” “self-tests,” or “over-the-counter tests.”
At-home tests are antigen tests and are most reliable in detecting infection when a person has symptoms consistent with COVID-19. If you have symptoms and test negative with an at-home test, you should consider testing yourself again 24 hours later.
To learn more about COVID-19 At-Home Tests, visit the CDC’s COVID-19 Self-Testing At Home or Anywhere page.
