Through the Empowered Youth Leaders program, youth will have opportunities to participate in challenging and interesting learning experiences, engage in leadership opportunities, and build on social skills, all while improving the health of their own community.
Youth, ages 14-17 will be working in their own communities to develop and implement a health improvement project focusing on tobacco use prevention and creating healthier communities throughout the 2022-2023 school year.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the youth and youth leaders will meet once a week virtually (using Zoom) until it is safe to meet as a group in person. If you do not have access to a device for using Zoom or internet, please let the program leaders know, we can loan you a device!
The day and time for meetings, will be determined based on the group’s availability.
