Babies Beyond One Zone

Black babies are dying.

In Maricopa County, African-American babies are 2.5X more likely than non-Hispanic white babies to die before the age of one. Many factors play a role in babies surviving to celebrate their first year and beyond.

Healthy Start launched the Black Babies Are Dying awareness campaign to improve the health and death rates of black women and their babies. We offer free pre-pregnancy and pregnancy, education, and family planning services.
