NOTICE OF PROPOSED FEES

Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute § 11-251.13, notice is hereby given that the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (BOS) will conduct a hearing on October 19, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Auditorium (205 W. Jefferson) to discuss and consider the adoption of the Enhanced Regulatory Outreach Program case below, which is proposed by the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department (Department).
ES-2022-001/Maricopa County Transfer Station Green Waste Fees
Upon BOS approval, listed fees will become effective on October 19, 2022, and transfer station green waste fees will be updated in the Maricopa County Environmental Health Code (MCEHC) Fee Schedule.
Due to increased transfer station green waste disposal operational expenses, the Department is proposing green waste disposal MCEHC fee adjustments from $12.00 to $26.75 for pick-up trucks and to $40.00 for trailers. Fee adjustments are needed to defray increased green waste disposal costs. Proposed fees were determined by analyzing program costs and evaluating green waste disposal services offered by private and public providers that include some local municipalities. The two proposed green waste disposal fee adjustments are listed in the Reports to the Board of Health, which outline proposed revisions to the MCEHC and are accessible at https://www.maricopa.gov/3563/Active-Regulatory-Process.
