Report an Air Quality Concern or Violation

The Air Quality Department relies on its citizens to help in the regulation of air quality in Maricopa County. If you see anyone violating air quality or dust control standards, please use one of the following options to report an air quality concern or violation.

Our air quality hotline is (602) 372-2703. It is available from 8a.m. - 5p.m., Monday - Friday, with voice mail available outside of business hours.

Use one of our online forms
To report dust from construction, vacant lots or processing plants, use the Dust Control Violation form
 
To report smoking vehicles, use the Smoking Vehicle form
 
To report improper gaseous emissions from businesses, illegal open surface coating/painting, illegal open burning, burning activities on a restricted burn day or other air quality concerns, use the Air Quality Violation form.
  
Our jurisdiction covers Maricopa County. Any complaints outside of the County boundary should be directed to the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).
