Maricopa County offers careers in a wide variety of public sector professions and new job opportunities are posted on an ongoing basis. Depending on the employment opportunity, employment preference points may be available to veterans, disabled veterans or a veteran's spouse or surviving spouse.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Jobs

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) offers a variety of career opportunities and exceptional benefits. The ARIZONA@WORK - Maricopa County Human Services Department team is available to support you and your family with the necessary services and resources for successfully pursuing employment opportunities. Eligible veterans are entitled to receive priority services in job referrals and training, as well as other employment services.

DoD SkillBridge

The DoD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences and provides an invaluable chance to work and learn in civilian career areas. For industry partners, SkillBridge is an opportunity to access and leverage the world’s most highly trained and motivated workforce at no cost. Service members participating in SkillBridge receive their military compensation and benefits, and industry partners provide the training and work experience.
