Pleasant Paddlers Program - Exploring the Northern Bays - Lake Pleasant
Lake Pleasant Regional Park
If you have your own kayak or canoe come join us for a tour of these interesting bays. There is a good chance of seeing wildlife in this area. We will meet for the put-in just past the 4-lane launch area, where the gate is open (look for all the kayaks). You must wear your life vest, and have your own gear. Bring water and a snack. There are no rentals available at this location. Distance will be about 6 miles and we will be out about 3 hours. Call if you have questions.

Little Critters Storytime w/ Ranger Amy - *Note new summer time*- McDowell
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Little Critters Storytime with Ranger Amy - (Geared toward preschool and older children) Join us most Thursdays in August (except for 8/30) for a themed program set around a children's book read aloud by Ranger Amy. Activities vary and may include live animals, songs, crafts, and/or puppet plays. This program takes place in our air-conditioned Visitor Center.

If you would like to know the answers to these questions, or any questions you may have about urban wildlife, then this one-hour presentation is for you! Bring your sandwich to the “Brown-Bag It” series inside our Nature Center as Ranger B shares some amazing facts about these fascinating creatures. Location: Nature Center.
