Fruits of the Desert - Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
July 5 Saturday 7:00 am Fruits of the Desert (easy) Come join us on a quest to find and taste some of the edible plants that have sustained the native peoples of this region. We will harvest and taste one of the most important foods, the fruit of the saguaro cactus, as well as look to see what else is available this time of the year. Bring along plenty of water. NOTE: This program is part of the “County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer” promotion. At the end of the program, we will give away a free family four-pack (4 free tickets to the Wet ‘n’ Wild Water Park)

What adventure will you listen to today? Come find out! Sonoran Story-Time is a wonderful way for kids to learn about our amazing desert. We will also have a craft project to do and take home. Bring snacks, water, your imagination, and be ready to have some fun. Meet inside the Nature Center.

Desert Denizen's *WnW! - Cave Creek Regional Park
Cave Creek Regional Park
In this episode of Desert Denizens we will learning about the Sonoran Desert Tortoise. The Ranger will share some interesting facts and answer your questions about these fascinating critters. Meet in the Nature Center. ***“The County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer!” That means program participants will be eligible to win a 4-pak of tickets to Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix! 1. Tickets will be issued one per family. 2. Families can only win one set of 2014 Wet ‘n’ Wild tickets. 3. Visitors must attend the program in full and must be present to win. At the end of the program, the Interpretive Ranger will a winner. 4. One 4-pack will be issued per program.
