Fridays Fitness Hike – Trailhead Staging Area- McDowell
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Fridays Fitness Hike – Various locations in Park- ALL Fridays Come to one or all of the Fitness Hiking Series, every Friday. We build up to a longer hike at the end of the month. Please wear sturdy shoes & bring plenty of water. Meet at the Trailhead Staging Area.

“The County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer!” Come out to today’s program for a chance to win 4 tickets to “Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix”. Tickets will be raffled to those in attendance! ***Bees conversing with humans? Yep! That’s only the beeginning of the “Bee Movie” (rated PG). Come see what happens when a bee breaks the rules. Ranger Mark will be showing this feature in the air-conditioned Nature Center on the “BIG” screen. Bring a picnic lunch to eat in the park, afterwards. Fun!

All About Bees - Evening "Brown-Bag It" with Ranger B - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
How important are bees to humans? How can we bee safe around them? How do bees survive and thrive in our desert? If you would like to know the answers to these questions, or any questions you may have about bees, then this one-hour presentation is for you! Bring your sandwich to the “Brown-Bag It” series inside our Nature Center as Ranger B shares some amazing facts about these buzzing busybodies. Location: Nature Center. Watch us feed our snakes after the program at 7:30pm. Then join our “Animal Hide and Seek Flashlight Walk” at 8pm at no extra cost! NOTE: This program is part of the “County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer” promotion. At the end of the program, we will be raffling off a free family four-pack (4 free tickets to the Wet ‘n’ Wild Water Park – a $160 value!!).

Bug Theater: Return of the Hexapods - Cave Creek Regional Park

Join Ranger Sarah and bug expert, James Waters of ASU, as we light up the night and see what creepy crawlies want to come visit us. This is a hit with the kids and you will be surprised how much you will enjoy it too! First we will start with a presentation on different types of insects and spiders that live in the desert and then we will create our own movie screen of bugs! We will see moths, beetles and even a praying mantis or two. Bring flashlights and go easy on the bug spray!! Bug guides will be on hand. You are more than welcome to enjoy a picnic dinner before hand and then meet with us afterwards. Meet at the Nature Center.

Animal "Hide and Seek" Flashlight Walk - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
We are the nocturnal animals of the desert and we like to hide. Help Ranger B find us if you can! If you would like to learn about us and enjoy a night walk in the desert, then join Ranger B as he takes you on this exciting 1-mile/1-hour walk along the Merkle Trail. The Merkle Trail offers universal access and the hard-smooth surface of this trail will accommodate wheelchairs and strollers. Please bring water, a flashlight, and closed-toe shoes. No pets, please. Location: Area 6. Join our “All About Bees” program inside our Nature Center at 6:30pm, and our snake feeding at 7:30pm at no extra cost! NOTE: This program is part of the “County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer” promotion. At the end of the program, we will be raffling off a free family four-pack (4 free tickets to the Wet ‘n’ Wild Water Park – a $160 value!!).

Dive ‘n’ Movies - Every Friday Night
Adobe Dam Regional Park
Every Friday night from June 1 to August 10, catch a great movie while floating under the stars at Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix’s wave pool - Monsoon Bay or simply lounge around on a deck chair. Dive 'n' Movies begin at sundown and are FREE with Park admission. The majority of the Park's slides and attractions continue to operate during Dive 'n' Movies.
