Fridays Fitness Hike – Trailhead Staging- McDowell
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Fridays Fitness Hike – Various locations in Park- ALL Fridays Come to one or all of the Fitness Hiking Series, every Friday. We build up to a longer hike at the end of the month. Please wear sturdy shoes & bring plenty of water. This week's hike starts at the Trailhead Staging Area.

CLASS FULL Learning with Archery - Archery 101 7AM Class - Lake Pleasant
Lake Pleasant Regional Park
CLASS FULL, please check other upcoming dates for this program. Sign Up Today - Limited Spots! Learn to shoot a recurve, compound, and cross bow. This 1.5 hour class is the first step in learning archery. Wear comfortable clothes, closed toe shoes and bring some cold water. All equipment is provided. Call 602-372-7460 x 202 , and leave name, phone number, and how many people wish to attend. Ranger will call to let you know if there is room in the class (only 12 people per class). Follow the "Archery 101" signs from the main contact station to the group campground.

Join Ranger Amy to identify the desert cactus flowers that are blooming in the desert. From Cholla to Hedgehogs to Saguaros, this is the time of year where the desert shows its unique beauty. Call the park for updates. Meet at the Trailhead Staging Area.

Movie Night in the Park: “Grand Canyon Adventure”- Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
This exciting movie follows the great Colorado River as it reveals one of the most pressing issues of our time – the world’s growing shortage of water. Join three parents and their daughters as they travel deep into the Grand Canyon on a thrilling ride through raging rapids and breathtaking canyons. With stunning photography and sweeping aerial shots, this movie captures the majesty of one of the seven natural wonders of the world. As a bonus, watch us feed our snakes after the movie! Feel free to bring snacks and drinks with you (no glass bottles), otherwise, concessions are available. Location: Nature Center. NOTE: This program is part of the “County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer” promotion. Family Moonlight Hike at White Tank Park

Walking into Waterfall Canyon in the moonlight will give you a different perspective on the beauty of the Uplands Desert. We will discuss the unique changes in the desert after the sun sets. Meet at Area 6. Bring a flashlight, scorpion lights and bug repellent. No dogs please.

Stories of the Sky - San Tan - Wet N Wild Program
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
This program is part of the “County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this summer” series and we will be giving away a family-four pack of Wet ‘n’ Wild Water Park Tickets at the end of the program. For thousands of years the night sky has been more than just a break from the day. The stars can be a sight of great beauty, a puzzling mystery and a familiar beacon guiding you home. They can be seen from all over our planet and have been the inspiration for many of the stories we have come to enjoy today. Join us for an unforgettable night hike (roughly 1.3 miles) and uncover the stories and myths from past cultures as we explore the constellations, planets and stars of the night sky. Please bring a flashlight, water, and proper hiking attire.
