Rocks and Streams Walk - Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
May 4 Sunday 8:00 am Rocks and Streams Walk (moderate) Learn about the geology and streams of the Spur Cross region on a 2-hour walk with nationally-known earth science author, Thomas McGuire. Visit an abandoned gold mine, Nutcracker Rock and a Hohokam rock art site along Cottonwood Wash. Bring water and your natural curiosity. Meet in the Spur Cross parking area.

Reptile and Live Animal Feeding at McDowell- McDowell Park
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Have you ever seen a snake eat? Bring your questions for Ranger Amy to our cool Visitor Center to watch our exhibit animals being fed. Meet our baby tortoises, desert blonde tarantula and giant desert hairy scorpion.Feeding takes place at the Visitor Center.
