Fridays Fitness Hike - Dixie Mine Trail- *Outside of Park*- McDowell
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
ALL Fridays (hike length varies). Come to one or all of the Fitness Hiking Series, every Friday. It's a great way to meet new people and get fit! We build up to a longer hike at the end of each month. Meet at the Dixie Mine Trailhead. This is a trail that starts at the end of Golden Eagle Blvd. 8-10 miles round-trip.

Healthy Hiking at Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
May 25 Friday 7:00 am Healthy Hiking (moderate) Join us for a 2.5 mile / 1.5 hour aerobic walk through a portion of the Conservation Area. Participants need not be tri-athletes, just ordinary folks who would like to begin or add diversity to their existing walking program.

"Just for Kids" - Toddler Cruise - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
This 1-mile hike is designed for parents and grandparents with small children, ages 3 - 6 years old. Along with Ranger B, the kids will howl like coyotes, do the “bobcat crawl” and learn how to hydrate by counting gulps of water on their fingers. After completing the hike, kids will receive a Junior Ranger badge. We will explore the desert along the scenic Merkle Trail. The hard-smooth surface of this trail will accommodate wheelchairs and strollers. Please bring water and hats. Location: Area 6.

During this special period members of our US military and veterans of the US military and first responders can get in FREE! Plus family members can get in for just $19.99 plus tax for up to six people. Veterans, military and first responders must present a valid government ID or badge to receive their FREE admission and discount tickets. ** ID or badge holder must be present to receive one (1) free admission and up to six (6) discount admissions. Tickets are valid on the day of distribution only. First responders are defined as active duty police, sheriff, highway patrol; active duty firefighters; active duty EMT or paramedics.

All About Black Widows - "Brown-Bag It" with Ranger B - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
How dangerous are black widow spiders? Why do they like to live around people? What should you do if you are bitten by one? How do they survive and thrive? If you would like to know the answers to these questions, or any questions you may have about black widows, then this one-hour presentation is for you! Bring your sandwich to the “Brown-Bag It” series inside our Nature Center as Ranger B shares some amazing facts about these venomous villains. Location: Nature Center.

Brown Bag - The Gopher Snake at White Tank Park
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
Bring your own lunch to the Nature Center to enjoy a focused discussion about the Gopher Snake. This will last about an hour. Consider hiking one of our many trails before or after lunch. A $6.00 fee will be collected for the event. This fee will also get you into the Park after the program. If you are not going into the Park you will charged $2.00.

Summer Night Ride Series - Pemberton Trail
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
This summer night mountain bike series will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. All riders must have a helmet, a lighting system designed for mountain biking and battery power for 3 hours. Riders must sign-in and sign-out, two hours are allowed to ride the Pemberton Trail. It is highly recommended that you ride this trail in day light before coming out for a night ride. The sign sheets are available at 6:30 for riders who might need extra time. NO RIDERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO START AFTER 8:00 p.m.
