Raptors! Presented by Liberty Wildlife - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Why do birds of prey have big eyes? Can owls turn their heads completely around? To find out the answers to these questions and more, Join Liberty Wildlife for an amazing program about these raptors. Everyone is invited to attend. Please bring camp chairs, water, and snacks, and all your questions to this fun and informative program. We will meet at the picnic tables near the Flag Pole.

CANCELED - Edible and Useful Plants of the Desert - White Tank Mtn.
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
The Sonoran Desert is home to many plants that have been used for thousands of years by people for food, medicine, and other essentials. Some of the products we consume and use even today have their origins in the desert. Join a park volunteer to learn about these fascinating plants and to try a few samples of food and drink made from them. This program will begin in the Nature Center classroom and end with a short walk to see some of the plants discussed.

Animal Tracks and Scat - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Come follow the paths of those that have gone before. Intrigued? Spend an interesting hour with desert affionado, Susan Peters, learning how to identify the animals here in the desert that frequent the same paths that you do. We’ll look at the tracks left by these animals and even the remnants of previous meals to identify some of our more common local species. Bring your sandwich to the “Brown-Bag It” series inside our Nature Center and prepare to become a master tracker! Location: Nature Center.

Wednesday Wellness Walk - Estrella
Estrella Mountain Park
These walks are geared for anyone who wants to start walking their way toward better health and wellness. Meet at the Gila Trailhead and walk on the 0.5-mile barrier free trail. Get off the couch and get moving with others who have the same goals. As you build your fitness level, you can increase your distance. You are in control of how fast and how far you choose to go each week. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Leave your excuses at home. Meet at the Gila Trailhead.

Get “mad.” Get REAL “mad” with Mountain Bike Madness as we ride the awesome trails at San Tan MRP. All skill levels are welcome. Helmets are mandatory. Bring your love of mountain biking and sense of adventure as you sharpen your riding abilities. We meet every Wednesday at the Flag Pole.
