Participants will learn about field target archery, discover how to improve their accuracy, and enjoy some friendly competition. Equipment will be provided. Participants must be graduates of our “Archery 101” class. This class is open to ages 8 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring water, hats, and closed-toe shoes. | Find the Naturalist on the Pipeline Canyon Trail - Lake Pleasant |

| Come on out and hike the Pipeline Canyon Trail at Lake Pleasant and see if you can find Frank the Naturalist. Frank loves to answer questions about the desert and surrounding areas. Frank will be on the trail from 9AM to 1:00PM, and you can usually find him at the bridge. Frank can share fishing stories and tips about the fish in the lake. You might find Frank at the Visitor Center after 11:30AM that day, if the trail traffic is slow. |

It is not a hiking event but you are welcome to hike any one of the Park’s many trails after the talk. The presentation will focus on some of the more interesting behaviors of this creature. This will be held in the White Tank Regional Library presentation room. Talk will not be appropriate for young children. It will not hold their interest. |

| "Where have all the bird nests gone?" - Cave Creek Regional Park |

| This presentation looks at the Red List Status of a number of bird species that have been evaluated by the IUCN. It also details birds of concern and emphasis focused on by the Audubon Society, Arizona Partners in Flight, and those listed by the Game and Fish Department that inhabit the Agua Fria National Monument. The program highlights some 36 species and their threats. It also brings information on birds that have made a dramatic comeback from endangered status, such as the Whooping Crane, Peregrine Falcon, California Condor and Bald Eagle.

***Special Guest Speaker, Joe Ford. Joe is a native of Missouri. He holds several degrees in education and a Masters Degree in Natural Science from the University of Oklahoma. He has been an educator on the junior high, high school and college levels. After 42 years in the teaching field he retired to Sun City, Arizona. He is a board member in the Sonoran Audubon Society and a member of the Sun City Rockhounds, among many of his other interests. |
