| LAST Wildflower Walk of Season- Scenic Trail– McDowell Park |

| Join Ranger Amy for one last wildflower walk of the season, to identify the gorgeous desert flowers that are blooming in the desert. Every week, different species will appear as the wildflower season unfolds—it is always a surprise what we find! Call the park for updates. Be sure to bring your camera! Every week will be a new location in the park, based on where the prime blooms are, that week. This week's walk is a 1.5 mile stroll on part of the Scenic Trail. Please bring plenty of water. Meet at the Trailhead Staging Area. |

| We will do a learning discovery-type scavenger hunt. We won’t be collecting anything but we will be doing a check off sheet on our discoveries photographing things along the trail. The hike will be along the Nature Center and Mule Deer Trails near the Nature Center. Limited to 15 children (each must be accompanied by at least one well behaved adult). Call ahead for reservations. Meet at the Park Nature Center at 9:00 a.m. (Flat, easy trail. .5 mile). A $6.00 fee per family will be collected at the Nature Center. This will get you into the Park later. No dogs. |
