"Cardio Care" Fitness Hike for 60+ - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Treat your heart to a needed dose of healthy exercise! In the beauty of our scenic Sonoran Desert we will enjoy this medium-paced cardio workout. This fun, 3-mile hike will create a loop involving four different trails within our park. Please bring water and closed-toe shoes. Location: Trail Staging Area.

"The Birth of Rocks" - with Geology Professor, A. J. Lombard - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Join us for this exciting slide presentation by local geology professor, A. J. Lombard. The story of rocks on earth is cyclic. Professor Lombard will take us on a tour starting at the fiery beginnings of rock, deep below earth’s crust. Travelling up to the surface, the rock is then exposed to weathering and erosion – only to be buried again! We will also examine all other possible paths that rock can take. Location: Nature Center.
