Early Bird Desert Birdwalk --Lousley Hill- McDowell Park
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Early Bird Desert Birdwalk in Lousley Hill Wash. Bring your binocs and come on out. No previous birding experience is required, only an interest in birds! We’ll look phainopeplas (often called ‘black cardinals’) and signs of our resident owls and roadrunners nesting on this level, easy walk. Meet at the Lousley Hill Trailhead.

In Search of "Birds"! - Cave Creek Regional Park

Is that the call of the ever elusive, "Phainopepla"? Join Joe Ford, from the Sonoran Audubon Society, as we venture out in search of "Birds". With Joe's expert guidance, you will discover and identify numerous species of local and migratory birds by sight and song. A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow or you may bring your own. Don't forget to bring water and your camera! Wag The Dog - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Calling all dogs. Calling all dogs. Now is the time to take your two legged friend for an upright walk. We’ll take a mellow stroll along the Goldmine trail (approximately 2 miles round trip) in the morning hours. Us dogs will enjoy the desert scent while our human companions chat about dog safety on trails and ways to beat the summer heat. Please be sure to bring plenty of water for you and your human friend. All us cool dogs must be on a leash (no more than 6 feet in length) at all times. Meet Ranger Tish at the Littleleaf Trailhead for this leisurely walk. ARF!

Wildflower Walk - Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
March 29 Saturday 9:00 am Wildflower Walk (moderate) Come and see what’s blooming in Spur Cross. This three-hour stroll along the Spur Cross and Tortuga Trails will showcase some of the wildflowers found in the park and explore the beauty of the conservation area.

"Just for Kids" - Kid vs. Wild - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Kids, what would you do if you got lost in the desert? This fun program will teach you what to do! You will learn how to find your way, signal for help, build an emergency shelter, and avoid desert dangers. This program involves a 1-mile hike and is designed for kids ages 7-12. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring water, hats, and closed-toe shoes. Location: Group Picnic C.
