Competitive Track will be CLOSED - Friday and Saturday

The park is hosting a special event on the Competitive track. The track will be closed for set up on Friday and Closed for competition on Saturday. The parking lot and tracks will reopen on Sunday, March 31st.

Dog Walk - Estrella Mountain Regional Park
Estrella Mountain Park
Bring your best friend out for a walk in the park. We will walk the Coldwater trail, a wide trail that there will be plenty of room for Fido’s and Fifi’s to explore safely. Learn some tips from Ranger Amy for safe hiking with your dog. Dogs must be on a leash. Meet at the Coldwater Trailhead.

Healthy Hiking at Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
March 29 Friday 9:00 am Healthy Hiking (moderate) Join us for a 2.5 mile / 1.5 hour aerobic walk through a portion of the Conservation Area. Participants need not be tri-athletes, just ordinary folks who would like to begin or add diversity to their existing walking program.

"Just for Kids" - Toddler Cruise - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
This 1-mile hike is designed for parents and grandparents with small children, ages 3 - 6 years old. Along with Miss Lynn, the kids will howl like coyotes, do the “bobcat crawl” and learn how to hydrate by counting gulps of water on their fingers. We will explore the desert along the scenic Merkle Trail. The hard-smooth surface of this trail will accommodate wheelchairs and strollers. Please bring water, hats, and closed-toe shoes. Location: Area 6.

Learn about the plants and animals that call San Tan home, and grab your cowboy hat for this exciting ride through the park. Horses must be reserved ahead of time through MD Ranch (480-331-7893). Movie Night in the Park: “Untamed America: Deserts”- Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
When it comes to desert animals, the truth is often stranger than fiction! How about a mouse that howls? A lizard that uses chemical weapons? Penguins in the desert? Moths with sonar-jamming technology? This new National Geographic movie will highlight the strange and spectacular animals that call the desert “home.” Feel free to bring snacks and drinks with you (no glass bottles), otherwise, concessions are available. Location: Nature Center.
