MARC race on 3/29/2014
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Saturday, March 29th the MBAA will be holding its MARC team relay race staging in the Four Peaks Staging Area. They will race on the Escondido, Cinch, lower Scenic, portions of the Pemberton, Granite and Lariat. All trails will be open to riding, this congestion will last until around noon. The Competitive Track is open to the public all day, all weekend.

Home School Program: "Cow Eyeball Dissections" - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Can you see in the dark? Do you know why some animal’s eyes glow in the dark? Learn about eyes through this hands-on cow eyeball dissection class! NOTE: Pre-registration is required through the Arizona Science Center. To register, please call the Arizona Science Center at (602) 716-2000 ext. 229, or email Arizona Science Center members: $20 for the first child, $10 for the second child, and $5 for each additional child. Non-members: $30 for the first child, $10 for the second child, and $5 for each additional child. There is also a $6 per vehicle entry fee to enter the park unless you have a county parks annual pass. Location: Usery Park Nature Center.

Wildflower Discovery Walks- North Trailhead– McDowell Park
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Join Ranger Amy to identify the gorgeous desert flowers that are blooming in the desert. Every week, different species will appear as the wildflower season unfolds—it is always a surprise what we find! Call the park for updates. Be sure to bring your camera! Every week will be a new location in the park, based on where the prime blooms are, that week. Meet at the North Trail Trailhead.

Wildflower Walk - Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
March 28 Friday 9:00 am Wildflower Walk (moderate) Come and see what’s blooming in Spur Cross. This three-hour stroll along the Spur Cross and Tortuga Trails will showcase some of the wildflowers found in the park and explore the beauty of the conservation area.
