Fridays Fitness Hike - North Trailhead- McDowell
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Fridays Fitness Hike – North Trail. Come to one or all of the Fitness Hiking Series, every Friday. We build up to a longer hike at the end of the month. Please wear sturdy shoes & bring plenty of water. Meet at the North Trailhead for this 1 hour easy hike.

Get Warmed Up for the Fitness Series - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
We will be warming up for our fitness series starting on January 10th. This will be an easy 1.3 mile hike following portions of our Littleleaf and Goldmine trails. Along the way you will get to know your fellow hikers and receive some great tips on general fitness and hiking gear. Remember, always bring plenty of water and wear sturdy shoes or boots. Meet at the Nature Center.

Backyard Birding - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Do you drink coffee on your back porch Saturday mornings wondering about the names of the little birds flittering about? Bring your coffee to Usery Park and explore the endless possibilities of backyard birding with bird expert, Sandy Hornbaker. Learn how to attract different birds to your own backyard and what you must provide to your feathered friends. Ask Sandy what your responsibilities are as a backyard birdwatcher and what you can expect. Please bring binoculars and water. Location: Campsite 21 in the Buckhorn Campground.

Fitness Friday at Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
December 6 Friday 9:00 am Fitness Friday (moderate) Get your day started with a two to three mile brisk, non-interpretive walk. Participants need not be tri-athletes, just ordinary folks who would like to add diversity to their existing walking program. Wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water.

Like to Hike - Estrella
Estrella Mountain Park
Impress your friends! Update your status with pictures from your morning hike. Join Ranger Amy for this morning hike and see how many things there are to "like" about Estrella Park! This moderately-paced social hike will be approximately 2.5-miles. This will not be an interpretive hike, but we will take breaks for photos so you can "share" with your friends. Please make sure to bring a camera, plenty of water and wear appropriate footwear. Meet at the Nature Center.

"Just for Kids" - Toddler Cruise - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
This 1-mile hike is designed for parents and caregivers with small children, ages 3 – 6. Along with Miss Lynn, the kids will howl like coyotes, do the “bobcat crawl” and learn how to hydrate by counting gulps of water on their fingers. We will explore the desert along the scenic Merkle Trail. The hard-smooth surface of this trail will accommodate wheelchairs and strollers. Please bring water, hats, and closed-toe shoes. Location: Area 6.
