| This open-house style program features our ranger hiking along the Wind Cave Trail and stopping to talk to park visitors. Our ranger will be available to answer questions about the park, identify desert plants, or even explain which animals call Usery Park “home”. Carry ample water. 9am-11am. |

Join the adventure and increase your skill level as we hike every trail in the park, while gradually increasing difficulty as we go along. This is the fourth hike in the series and will be 4.6-miles round trip. Please wear appropriate hiking attire and bring water. |

| The Scenic Trail is a 4.8 mile ridgeline hike with great views of mountain ranges in all directions. Ranger Amy will point out an ancient petroglyph, a crested saguaro, and of course, birds and other wildlife that we might see along this moderate, 2 1/2 hour walk. Please wear hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. Meet at the Trailhead Staging Area. |

| Unleash your creativity and enjoy an afternoon of painting on rocks in our comfy Visitor Center. You may think that is just for kids...but wait until you see the art you can create with just a few tips and tricks.
Ranger Amy will show you some surprisingly easy techniques that even children can use to create keepsakes out of river rocks, using the popular book series, "Painting Animals on Rocks" by Lin Wellford. http://www.linwellford.com/
Hot chocolate will be provided, free of charge. This program is suitable for ages 4 through adult. Painting mocks will be provided, or you can wear a shirt that can get permanent paint on it. |

| Kids, what would you do if you got lost in the desert? This fun program will teach you what to do! You will learn how to find your way, signal for help, build an emergency shelter, and avoid desert dangers. This program involves a 1-mile hike and is designed for kids ages 7-12. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring water, hats, and closed-toe shoes. Location: Area 6. |
