Pleasant Paddlers Program Tour of the Southern Bays - Lake Pleasant
Lake Pleasant Regional Park
If you have your own paddle craft (no rentals available at launch site), come explore the southern bays with us. We will launch just East of the 10-lane boat ramp (follow “Pleasant Paddlers” signs). This time of year when the lake is low, this once large bay is now fun to explore with its multiple bay inlets. You must wear your life vest. Bring water, snacks, and sun protection.

We in Arizona have bragging rights that we live in the ‘wild west’, with cactus that ‘jump’, and snakes that rattle. But how ‘dangerous’ is the desert, really? Join Ranger Amy for a “hands-on” introduction to the unique flora and fauna that make up this place we call the Sonoran Desert. Meet at the North Trail Trailhead.

Little Critters Storytime with Ranger Amy - (Geared toward preschool and older children) Join us every Thursday for a themed program set around a children's book read aloud by Ranger Amy. Activities vary and may include live animals, songs, crafts, and/or puppet plays. This program takes place in our air-conditioned Visitor Center.

Adult 1/2 moon hike at White Tank Park
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
Walking the Black Rock Long Loop in the moonlight will give you a different perspective on the beauty of the Uplands Desert. We will discuss the unique changes in the desert after the sun sets. This hike may be too long for toddlers. No dogs please. Bring a flashlight and your scorpion lights. This hike if for adults (16 and older) only. Area 4 - 7:30 pm
