Not-so-Early Birdwalk to Nursery Tank Pond- ADA Accessible- McDowell Park
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
The weather is perfect to look for our spectacular desert birds. Grab your binocs and come on out. No previous birding experience is required, only an interest in birds! This easy walk is along our less-than-½ mile accessible trail. Meet at Nursery Tank Trailhead.

Home School – Beastly Birds
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
If your kids are ready to go on an educational adventure, then join us for another exciting Home School at the Park. Head out for a fun expedition as we search for the Beastly Birds of San Tan. Find out what makes a bird a bird and why the ones in the desert are so beastly. Please bring water and wear closed toed shoes. This class and hike (roughly 0.5-miles) are designed for children 5 and up.

"Just for Kids" - Story Time in the Desert - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Kids (including parents and grandparents) will learn about our desert through a fun story, game, and a short nature walk. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after the program as we have three shaded playgrounds in our park. Please bring water, hats, and closed-toe shoes. Location: Nature Center.
