Pleasant Paddlers Program - Exploring the Islands of Lake Pleasant
Lake Pleasant Regional Park
If you have your own kayak or canoe, or rent one from Scorpion Bay Marina at (928) 501-7368, join the Ranger and the Pleasant Paddlers Program for a fun time exploring the islands of Lake Pleasant. Rentals can paddle over and join us at the launch area. All others with their paddle craft will launch through the yellow gate of Scorpion Bay, look for the in-park signs from the contact station. You must wear a PFD (life vest). Also bring plenty of water and sun protection. We will make a few stops on some of the islands, so bring snacks too. Call for questions (602) 372-7460 x 202.

All About Bobcats - "Brown-Bag It" with Ranger B - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
How dangerous are bobcats? What should you do if you encounter one? How do they survive and thrive in our desert? If you would like to know the answers to these questions, or any questions you may have about bobcats, then this one-hour presentation is for you! Bring your sandwich to the “Brown-Bag It” series inside our Nature Center as Ranger B shares some amazing facts about these shy cats. Location: Nature Center.

Little Critters Storytime w/ Ranger Amy -McDowell Park Nature Center
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Little Critters Storytime with Ranger Amy - (Geared toward preschool and older children) Join us every Thursday for a themed program set around a children's book read aloud by Ranger Amy. Activities vary and may include live animals, songs, crafts, and/or puppet plays. This program takes place in our air-conditioned Visitor Center.
