Incorporation by Reference -- Regulatory Adoption / Amendment Process
The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors adopted a county-wide Enhanced Regulatory Outreach Program policy in an effort to promote consistency and transparency among regulatory departments. This policy (revised 3/25/13) allows multiple opportunities for stakeholder input regarding the adoption and amendment of all regulatory requirements and includes alternative expedited processes. Alternative expedited processes consist of the Expedited Process and an Incorporation by Reference Process. These two new process options are denoted by the following: and symbols.
The Environmental Services Department is committed to providing multiple opportunities for stakeholder input regarding the adoption and amendment of all regulatory requirements. In the event the Department fails to observe adoption procedures pertaining to Maricopa County’s Enhanced Regulatory Outreach Program policy, citizens can submit a complaint. Click here.
