Car Seat Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I get an inexpensive car seat?

Children Are Priceless Passengers (CAPP)

CAPP is a child passenger safety program offered to offenders and non-offenders of Arizona state child passenger safety laws. For the fee of $25.00, parents/caregivers will receive two hours of car seat information and one-on-one coaching on proper use of car seats.

Car seat resources are reserved for the most-needy cases. Each location has its own class time and location. You must call to pre-register.

Association for Supportive Child Care

Participants are eligible to receive a safety seat at no cost upon completion of a two hour class. The two hour class offers information on the importance of using safety seats correctly and includes viewing a video, hands-on activities, and educational materials. To register for upcoming classes, call (480) 829-0500, extension 233.

After participants complete the two hour class, they must call (480) 829-0500, extension 233, to schedule an appointment to receive their car seat. To learn how to correctly install the car seat in their vehicle, participants work with a certified child passenger safety technician. Appointments are generally scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month and are made in the order in which calls were received.

Safety seats are distributed based on availability of funds.
