Arizona has its First Flu Case of the Season
Bring Grandma holiday cheer this Thanksgiving; not the flu!
Get Vaccinated Today!
"Flu is here and no one wants to unknowingly bring the flu home to Grandma over Thanksgiving when a simple vaccine offers protection for everyone", says Dr. Bob England, Director of Maricopa County Department of Public Health.
Flu vaccine and flu nasal mist is available and highly recommended for adults and children age 6 months and older.
For a complete listing of vaccination and flu mist locations, log on to www.fluaz.org or call Community Information and Referral at 602-263-8856.
It’s time again to remember to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and to be a role model for children and help them practice healthy hygiene. Sneeze and cough into disposable tissues and discard or when tissue is unavailable, your elbow. Stay home when you are ill, avoid close contact with those who are sick, drink water and wash your hands frequently.
