In 1987 the County adopted a modified version of the State of Arizona Procurement Code (ARS Title 41). The code is patterned after the American Bar Association’s Model Procurement Code, originally developed in 1979, the ABA Code helped create transparent, competitive, and reliable processes by which billions of dollars in public funds are expended.
