Governor in town for bypass ground-breaking ceremony

Chamber staff has worked with the Governor’s Office since January to secure a date for the project groundbreaking. Mayor Ron Badowski, former Mayors Rusty Gant and Lon McDermott, Town Manager Gary Edwards, Chamber President Robert O’Hearn, Chamber Transportation Chair Alan Abare, Maricopa County Supervisor Max Wilson, ADOT Director Victor Mendez, along with ADOT Engineers Dallas Hammitt, and Andy Roth, and Markham Construction representatives will scoop up sand for the ceremonial dig.
