Mary Jo West has been called the "First Lady of TV News in Phoenix." She made history when she became Phoenix's first female anchorwoman in 1976 and eventually reported and anchored over 5,000 daily newscasts and specials. She has won her industry's top awards, including 2 Emmys, 13 Arizona Press Club Awards, and the prestigious PEABODY for her reporting.
