The Gila River Indian Community and Supervisor Fulton Brock, District 1, have teamed up to clean up an area bordering Chandler and the Gila River Indian Community. Teams of volunteers will gather Saturday, November 4, from 8:00 AM – noon in the parking lot behind the Wells Fargo facility, 2600 S. Price Road, just North of Queen Creek Road, in Chandler. Maricopa County will provide large trucks to dispose of large items which have been dumped in the area, such as tires, chunks of concrete, appliances and furniture.
The public is invited to help pick up littered bottles and paper for community service hours credit - or simply to help beautify our community. Gloves, trash bags, snacks and water will be provided.
Supervisor Fulton Brock says, “Eradicating litter is one of the County’s primary objectives. We are pleased to partner with the Gila River Indian Community to preserve the beauty of our shared space.”
