The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office is proud to announce a new addition to their website. The Unidentified Persons Search is now available, and it will allow the public to review sketches or photos and information regarding nearly 200 unidentified cases. This feature has been developed in an effort to assist people that are searching for missing loved ones, and to let the public take a role in helping to solve some of the unidentified cases. Similar websites are available in many other jurisdictions throughout the country, and they have proven to be a valuable tool in identifying the deceased and allowing their families to achieve closure. Information and leads can be submitted to the County’s Office of the Medical Examiner electronically through the website, and the user may elect to either provide their contact information or remain anonymous. Visit http://www.maricopa.gov/Medex/Unidentified/ to view the new Unidentified Persons Search.
Along with the Unidentified Persons Search, the Medical Examiner’s site has taken on a whole new look. The new site is intended to be more professional with easy navigation and the ability to spotlight new programs and services of the Medical Examiner’s Office. The Medical Examiner’s Office main site is located at http://www.maricopa.gov/Medex.
