Let’s face it. Finding true love can be hard. Harder still is keeping the relationship going. How about a sure fire love match? One that gives much more than you will take? Adopt a furry dog or cat from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC). This February 13 - 19, MCACC is lowering the adoption fees on every dog and cat. All dogs, puppies and kittens can be adopted for $37. Cats over a year are $0 to adopt. Every dog and cat will be spayed or neutered and given age appropriate vaccinations. Dogs over the age of three months will also be licensed. Microchips are available for only $25.
If you can’t adopt, but want to help, please spay or neuter your pets and help us lower the number of homeless animals in Maricopa County. Another way to help is by becoming a foster family. Fostering is a temporary placement of our homeless animals which saves their life. We are always in need of people who want to open their homes and their hearts to our animals. Foster families care for puppies and kittens not yet old enough to be placed up for adoption and dogs or cats recovering from medical or behavior issues.
Max Wilson, Chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and the proud owner of an adopted dog from MCACC, urges the community to think about adoption. “Dogs and cats have so much love to offer. They make great companions,” he said. “You will also be saving a life when you adopt from a shelter.”
So hurry in today and add a new member to your household. For more information on MCACC, visit www.pets.maricopa.gov or call (602) 506-7387.
