Construction Codes
On October 1, 2010, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to adopt the
following building codes with AZBO/MAG amendments:
- 2009 International Building Code
- 2009 International Residential Code
- 2009 International Mechanical Code
- 2009 International Plumbing Code
- 2009 International Fuel Gas Code
- 2008 National Electrical Code
To allow for an adjustment period, the formerly accepted codes will be accepted until December 31, 2010.
Please also reference various local amendments as detailed in the Local Additions & Addenda
As the various codes are owned and copyrighted by the International Code Council, National Fire Protection
Association, the Planning & Development Department is unable to provide the codes on the website for customers.
Customers seeking this information can visit their local library or purchase a copy in most bookstores.

into the current version of the Construction Code.
