Trails Master Plan Update - PUBLIC MEETING
This summer, the department will be reviewing the McDowell Mountain Regional Park Trails Master Plan to ensure that the park has an adequate trail system in place to support increased future use. The plan, originally developed in 1999, will be reviewed for potential growth opportunities that align with Parks’ mission and to determine whether the current trail system meets the needs of the expanding community that surrounds the park. If the plan does not meet these needs, possible amendments to the Trails Master Plan may include modifications to existing trails or the identification of new trails.
The department would like to invite you to provide feedback on potential amendments to the Trails Master Plan at a public meeting on Wednesday, May 21 st from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the park’s Visitor Center. Please review the trails system map prior to the meeting. If you are unable to attend the public meeting, you may still provide feedback in writing via email to Rand Hubbell, park supervisor, at randhubbell@mail.maricopa.gov.
