Per the Arizona Hunting and Trapping Regulations, the following parks in Maricopa County are open to hunting using shotgun shooting shot when the season coincides with a quail season:
Hunting in parks opened by the Commission Order is not permitted within 1/4 mile of any developed picnic area, developed campground, shooting range, occupied building, boat ramp, or golf course.
At this time, the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of updating its hunting maps to be in compliance with the Arizona Game and Fish Department's hunting regulations. Once the maps are updated, they will be made available. Please note that hunting is NOT allowed in the following parks:
- Adobe Dam Regional Park
- Buckeye Hills Regional Park
- Cave Creek Regional Park
- Desert Outdoor Center at Lake Pleasant
- San Tan Mountain Regional Park
- Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
- Usery Mountain Regional Park
