You are required to bring water, sunscreen, a snack, and wear water shoes that will stay on your feet (no flip flops). Old sneakers that you do not mind getting wet and muddy are OK too. This program is a fun family hike and swim, which is very well attended in the summer months. Here is what to expect: we first fit everyone for a life vest (loaner PFDs are available at the trailhead or you may bring your own). Then we hike down to the water, put on our life vest, and enjoy a dip in the water to cool us down. Once we are all wet and happy, we will hike back up to the parking lot. The hike is about 1/2 mile each way and the program last about two hours. Every family attending will have one chance at winning a 4 pack of Wet & Wild Water Park Tickets!<br/>Lake Pleasant Regional Park at S. We first fit life vest, then we hike down a ½ mile trail to the shoreline, put on our life vest and splash in the water to cool us down! You may borrow life vest from the Ranger or you can bring your own. The hike back up is not too bad, now that we are wet. Bring water and wear water shoes or old sneakers that can get wet (no flip flops). You can also come on the hike and stay dry, but drink lots of water. Hats and sunscreen are good to have also.
