It is a strategic priority of Maricopa County to simplify access to financial and budgetary data as well as information on a variety of significant initiatives. While this information has been historically available at

Through Maricopa County OpenBooks, citizens can access available information about Maricopa County in one easy central location. In addition, Maricopa County OpenBooks was created in harmony with the
Open Government Initiative and
Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S.) Section 41-725.
Currently, the following information can be found at Maricopa County OpenBooks:
- demographic and organizational structure of the County, including contact and election information
- strategic plans and results-based reporting

The second phase of the site will include a searchable database of detailed revenue and expenditures. Maricopa County will partner with the State of Arizona to provide this data through the State’s transparency site called
