Pediatric Unit - The Pediatric Unit provides inpatient services for neonates, infants, children and adolescents. A team of Pediatricians (Pediatric hospitalists) provide 24 hour availability and work with sub-specialists in the following areas: Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Pediatric Infectious Disease, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Pediatric Rheumatology, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Pulmonology, Adolescent Medicine, Psychiatry in ad Development/Behavior Pediatrics and Pediatric Burn and Trauma.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - The 12 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides tertiary critical inpatient services for neonates, infants, children and adolescents. Pediatric Intensivists are available 24/7 for pediatric patients needing critical care, and all of the sub-specialists above are available as well to provide care in the PICU. Care is provided to patients from all over Arizona as well as neighboring states.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - The 40 bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides tertiary critical inpatient services for neonates who are born in the hospital as well as babies transported in from everywhere in the Southwest. Neonatalogists provide 24 hour availability for the neonatal patients.

Pediatric Emergency Department - The Pediatric Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for children from birth to 18 years of age. Care is provided by Pediatricians specializing in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Pediatric Burn and Trauma - Pediatric Burn and Trauma care is provided through the Arizona Burn Center, Arizona's only Burn Center and the second largest in the country. Trauma care is provided through our Trauma Center. Care is provided by physician specialists in the areas of Burn, Trauma and Emergency Medicine.

Community Health Center (CHC) - Pediatric care is provided in the Pediatric Clinic Monday through Friday for patients from birth to 18 years of age. Care is provided by Pediatricians specializing in primary care and the multiple sub-specialists listed in the Pediatrics Unit description.

Family Health Centers - Primary care is provided at the 10 community health centers throughout Maricopa County through the Family and Community Medicine service. Pediatricians practice at South Central, Mesa, Maryvale and Chandler. Pediatric dental services are provided in the CHC.

Child Life Program - The Child Life Program consists of Child Life Specialists and assistants. Therapy is provided at the patient bedside or in the Pediatric or Teen Play Rooms that is age appropriate and designed as a part of the multi-disciplinary team.

Lactation Consulation - Lactation Consultants are available to assist mothers with any breastfeeding issues encountered during their child's hospitalization.
