Yes. Human Resources outsources Ombudsman Services for County
employees to a third party vendor - Mediation and Ombudsman
Resolutions.
Ombudsman Services
may be used in accordance with This policy encourages employees to raise questions
or concerns about the following issues:
- The application
of Merit Rules and Human Resources Plans (Employee Leave Plan
& Employee Compensation Plan)
- Human Resources
Administrative Procedures
- Departmental
Work Rules
- Unsafe or
unhealthy work environments
Employees are
encouraged to discuss these issues with their immediate supervisor
and whenever possible, resolve their concerns. However, in those
instances where an employee’s concerns cannot be resolved through
the supervisor to the employee’s satisfaction, Maricopa County provides
Ombudsman Services to mediate and resolve employee issues.
Ombudsman Services
will adhere to the three steps outlined in the Employee Concerns
