In 1992, the Board of Directors of the International Hispanic Network (IHN) granted establishment of a local chapter, its first, to Maricopa County.

CO-FOUNDER
George Garcia
has been with the Maricopa County for over 20 years. He has held various management and director positions throughout his career. As a co-founder of the Hispanic Network; Mr. Garcia was instrumental in establishing the Hispanic Network and his vision of increasing Diversity Networks within the County helped facilitate the establishment of a Diversity Office.
Chris Pinuelas

CO-FOUNDER
Chris Pinuelas
was instrumental in forming the first-ever Hispanic Network in Maricopa County.  Her goal, and that of the co-founders, was to establish a Hispanic Network that will promote Hispanic Culture in addition to providing opportunities for professional development.  In 1992, the network was formed and became an affiliated chapter of the International City/County Management Association's (ICMA) Hispanic Network.
