Guerrero served twenty-five successful years in the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of Senior Non Commissioned Officer, Senior Master Sergeant, while serving in various occupational fields of Base Supply, Logistics, Safety and Environmental, and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Management. In November 2003, Guerrero began his career with Maricopa County as the Adult Probation Department’s Safety Equipment manager. Ed Guerrero’s vision for the county’s diversity program is to create a vibrant culture of opportunities and treatment equally available throughout the county - one person, one family, and one community at a time. His strategies include visionary leadership and shared resources that nurture community partnerships so residents achieve opportunities that empower both personal and professional well-being and fulfillment. Evidence-based practices will implement performance measures for guiding decision- making and looking for opportunities for improvement. By nurturing an environment for growth (through respect, understanding, acceptance, and accountability), our greatest resource – our people – will thrive and excel.
