Sandi Wilson joined Maricopa County as the Budget Manager in February 1993. She has held positions of Budget Director, Chief Resource Officer and her current position of Deputy County Manager, a position she has held since 1998. Ms. Wilson was instrumental in identifying and solving the fiscal crisis which emerged during her initial years with the County and during many economic downturns over the course of her employment. Maricopa County has a reputation for fiscal excellence and for many years Sandi has been one of our strategic financial leaders.
In addition to her financial responsibilities, Sandi's organization includes: Public Defense Services, Correctional Health, Public Health, Public Fiduciary, Medical Examiner and several other support services. She is a strong advocate for positive change and has been responsible for many innovative projects over the course of her career at Maricopa County including Managing for Results.
She has a MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Arizona State University. Recently she obtained a Certification in Meditation and Mindfulness from the McLean Meditation Institute. She is a native Phoenician. She is married and has three children, ages 15, 18, and 23.
