Renee serves as the Deputy Director of the Maricopa County Human Services Department. She oversees Community Development Division which has responsibility for the receipt and expenditure of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funding. She administers CDBG and HOME grants compliance, fair housing, monitoring, and annual planning and reporting activities. She supervises the accounting and payroll processing functions and approves CDBG and HOME draws. Renee prepares and monitors the departmental budget and administers the Managing for Results system. In addition, Renee supervises and administers economic development contracts and contracts with outside consultants. Renee is also the Chair of the Maricopa HOME Consortium, and staff liaison to the Community Development Advisory Committee.

Dan serves as Division Manager for Community Development as well as CDBG and HOME Urban County Project Manager for El Mirage, Queen Creek, Tolleson, and Wickenburg. Dan administers the American Dream Downpayment Initiative. Dan accepts and reviews funding applications and negotiates contracts. Dan conducts environmental reviews on proposed CDBG and HOME activities. He also monitors the progress of construction projects, reviews and processes payment requests, and reports performance of CDBG/HOME projects in HUDs Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS). In addition, Dan coordinates the application process for annual Small Cities Transportation Assistance Fund monies, completes semi-annual Davis-Bacon reporting requirements, and assists the Director as staff liaison to the CDAC. Dan is also the Article 5 procurement officer.

Sharon is a Certified HOME Program Specialist - Regulations. In addition, Sharon serves as recording secretary for the CDAC.

Sandra
serves as Compliance Officer and provides training and technical assistance as well as research and reporting on grant compliance requirements. As liaison for the Maricopa HOME Consortium, Sandra accepts and reviews funding applications and negotiates contracts for Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs), reviews environmental review records on proposed HOME activities for the HOME Consortium, monitors the progress of construction projects, reviews and processes payment requests, and reports performance in IDIS. Sandra administers subrecipient monitoring for Maricopa Urban County and performs peer review for the HOME Consortium. Sandra is editor of the Community Development Administrative Manual. Sandra is a Certified HOME Program Specialist - Regulations.

Lydia Gaza

Lydia
administers accounting and financial reporting for the Division. She processes revenue and expenditure transactions through the County Finance Department. She is responsible for activity setup, drawdown, and completion functions in IDIS. Lydia provides monthly financial reports for the budget liaison as well as for the Maricopa HOME Consortium and CDAC. She serves as the Division liaison for fixed assets. In addition, Lydia provides data for the annual audit and annual reports.

Martie is in charge of the administrative functions within the Division. She serves as the Maricopa HOME Consortium recording secretary and provides administrative support to the CDAC. She coordinates Certifications of Consistency with the Five-Year Consolidated Plan. Martie is the Human Resources liaison and benefits coordinator. She maintains all Division files, records and correspondence; and administers records retention requirements. Martie maintains the Board of Supervisors agenda items and back up documentation. She maintains the Division's master calendar of events, and handles all required public notices and publication requirements. Martie is also a Notary Public.
