Join Audubon bird expert, Sandy Hornbaker, for this introduction to bird watching as she guides you on a one-mile walk along the Merkle Trail. The well-manicured Merkle Trail offers universal access and the hard-smooth surface of this trail will accommodate wheelchairs and strollers. Bring binoculars if you have them, otherwise, Sandy has some to loan. Please bring water. Location: Area 6. |

| November 7 Saturday 8:00 am Elephant Mountain Fortress Hike (difficult) Join us for a 7 mile / 5 hour roundtrip trek into the backcountry to one of the premier archaeological sites on the Conservation Area. Participants need to be in good condition and familiar with what hiking on primitive trails for this distance entails. Participants must bring at least 1 liter of water. We recommend you have a hat, & dress in layers. |
