Birding with the Ranger - Lake Pleasant
Lake Pleasant Regional Park
We may see several variety of desert birds as well as some shoreline birds. The hike is only about one mile round trip, and we will be taking our time looking for anything that catches our attention. Please bring your binoculars and bird guides. We will meet at the South Pipeline Canyon trailhead. No need to call unless you have questions, just show up.

Doggy Walk at Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
November 29 Sunday 9:00 am Doggy Walk at Spur Cross (easy) What could be better than enjoying a leisurely hike with man’s best friend? Bring along your leashed and hopefully well behaved canines on this easy two mile walk around the Metate/Spur Cross Loop. Park docent Coni Grossman & her husband Steve from the Sonoran Foothills Pet Clinic will be leading the walk and will be giving tips on hiking with your dog in the desert. Please be sure to bring plenty of water for you and your dog.

Find the Ranger - Wind Cave Trail - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
This open-house style program features the ranger hiking along the Wind Cave Trail and stopping to talk to park visitors. The ranger will show off the “Backpack of Knowledge”, and be available to answer questions about the park, discuss park history, identify desert plants, or even explain which animals call Usery Mountain Regional Park home. Carry ample water.

Horses 101 - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Do you love horses? Want to see one up close and personal? Join us, to learn about these magnificent creatures. We will also chat about safety tips, trail etiquette and what to pack when riding in the desert. Clinic will be followed by a two hour guided trail ride in the Park (optional). Horses are not required for the clinic portion of program, but would be necessary for the trail ride. Toy donations are welcomed, encouraged and will be collected at the program to help support the Golden West Cowgirls in their quest to help ensure local children receive a toy during the upcoming holiday season. Rental horses are available by calling Deb Haack with the Pony Express Trail Company at 602-790-2790.
